Our mission is to train translators and interpreters who own contemporary perspective, have excellent command of both Turkish and English languages and manage to  uses them in translation and interpretation at the highest level,  equipped with terminology and field knowledge in the fields of medicine, law, social sciences, technical and literature, and translates and interprets at national and international level in these fields and have the ethical values ​​of their profession.

Our vision is to become one of the most competent departments that provide translation and interpreting education at international level in Turkey and in academic studies upon translation studies; to train professional translators and interpreters who can translate and interpret especially in English-Turkish language pairs and thus are favored to be employed at local and international institutions, to become a noteworthy department that will contribute to the scientific world in cooperation with both national and international institutions and organizations.
